Where are JagBags made?

They are hand made in New Zealand by a small experienced team of skilled seamstresses. We only use 100% Chinese habatoi silk as a result of its combination of softness, performance and durability. Once made, JagBags are hand dyed in small batches. Colours are either a single shade which contains a subtle marbling effect or a twin dye which produces striking, complimentary shades

What is a silk sleeping bag liner?

A silk sleeping bag liner is mainly used in two ways – as a standalone silk sleeping bag for use in hot climates and as an inner liner for a sleeping bag. When used as in inner, a JagBag will increase the warmth of the sleeping bag and also protect it and keep it clean. It’s easier to clean a JagBag than an expensive down sleeping bag!

Why do I need one?

For the reasons listed above and because sleeping in luxurious silk will make you’re feeling very comfortable and relaxed.

Are they easy to clean?

Yes. We in reality recommend hand washing with a mild soap (like hair shampoo) and allowing to dry naturally. Over the back of a door is ideal. You’ll be able to use a machine though so long as it’s set on the Silk, Handwash or Cool settings. BUT only use a gentle detergent specifically made for washing silk or wool – the use of ‘normal’ gel/powder/tablets will ruin your JagBag silk liner very quickly. As will fabric conditioner, tumble drying and hot water.

Who uses them?

Backpackers, campers, cyclists, mountaineers, travelers, trekkers, people who have a reaction to bleached hotel sheets and people who just don’t wish to have hotel sheets and pillows touch them. We have sent JagBags to people all over the place the world!
